Valve spray-painting standard process

Preparation

1. Check whether there are burrs, oxidation, and other defects on the surface of the valve. If there are defects, they need to be polished and cleaned.

2. Select materials and match them according to the valve material and coating requirements to ensure the spraying effect.

3. Install spraying equipment and ensure air circulation.

Spraying

1. First, spray the primer evenly on the surface of the valve. The thickness should be controlled between 25-30 μm.

2. After waiting for the primer to dry, perform intermediate painting and spray the intermediate color paint evenly. The thickness should be controlled between 25-30 μm.

3. After the intermediate coating is dry, apply the topcoat. The thickness should be about 40 μm, avoid being too thin or too thick.

4. After the painting is completed, conduct electrostatic purging of the valve to remove dust on the paint surface and ensure the quality of the coating.

5. Observe and inspect the painted valves. If there is any leakage, sagging, pitting, etc., repair them in time.

Drying

1. After the above spraying process is completed, place the valve in a ventilated and flat drying room for dryness. 

2. Carry out drying time according to the selected coating type and the regulations of different manufacturers to ensure the quality of the valve paint surface.

Inspection

1. Carry out a visual inspection of the sprayed valve. If there are any leaks, film, etc., they need to be repaired.

2. Check the thickness of each place to see if it meets the painting standards.

3. Check the hardness and adhesion of the paint surface. If it does not meet the requirements, it needs to be reprocessed.
